Responsibilities

  • I am assigned as a product analyst of the project, analyzing what needs to be built, what should not. Also, I am responsible on building the backend of the reports and sales.

What I contributed

  • This is an working internal ERP of Lap IT solutions where the business' POS system will be integrated to the ERP. My contribution is restructuring the whole codebase to module based layering. Every layer is divided into repo, schema, services, and routes; in this way, codebase is loosely coupled for scalability and maintainability; also contributed in reports generation from backend to frontend; implemented zod to validate data at runtime while automatically generating strict, type-safe TypeScript interfaces.
  • Contributed to the backend architectural design and implementation and for a client.

Challenges

One of the challenges is syncing with the POS as it is a legacy system.

Outcome

We are able to accomplish the UI and the reports. We are able to link the POS and the ERP.
